LISTENING

This test will consist four recordings of native English speakers i.e American or British and then you will write the answers to a number of questions based on the recordings. First recording will be a conversation between two people discussing anything related to everyday context. Second recording is related to social context which could be a speech about facilities in your local area. Third recording is conversation between four people in an educational or training context. For instance, a college student discussing exam syllabus with a teacher. In the last recording you will hear a monologue on an academic subject.

The listening test is for 30 minutes and 10 extra minutes will be given to you to transfer your answers in your answer sheet. There will be total 40 questions and it is important that you hear the recordings carefully because you are only allowed to hear them once. While listening to the recordings you are allowed to take notes.

Tasks or question format that will be asked in listening -

  • Multiple choice
  • Matching
  • Plan/Map/Diagram labelling.
  • Form/note/table/flow- chart/ summary and sentence completion.
