SPEAKING

This section of the exam evaluate your spoken English. The examiner will record everything during the interview. It is divided into three parts to assess your English speaking skills in different situations. Speaking is similar in both Academic and General Training test.

Part 1 - In this part, you will be asked general questions about yourself and the topics will be around your everyday life. It will go on for around 11 to 14 minutes. It is better to come prepared and know how to introduce yourself. You can practice this in front of a mirror or take help of your friends or relatives. Also, make a list of your hobbies, likes or dislikes and the prepare to explain the reason or some story behind it.

Part 2 - This section of your interview is called “Long Turn.” In this part, you will be given a task card which consist of a topic. You will be given one minute to prepare and then you will speak on the topic for 2 minutes. It is better to speak on the topic around your own experience as topics are unpredictable. Though, the repetition of topics is common and that is where Golden Overseas is going to help you.

Part 3 - In this part the examiner conducts a discussion related to the topic in given in Part 2 and will ask you more details where he or she finds suitable. This section lasts for 4-5 minutes and idea is to analyze your ability to express your opinions.
